Recently there have been a number of efforts to obtain ultrapitch, i.e. increased pitch range, on the Technics 1200/1210.

The first ultrapitch mods on the technics involved replacing the master timing crystal (X201) with lower-frequency crystal (see [http://archive.is/EyKho this forum post]).

This gives the following ranges -

*4.9167...MHz - +8% to 28%
*4.1932...MHz (original) - -8% to +8%
*3.5795...MHz - -21% to -3%
*3.2768...MHz - -10% to -30%
